Sean Zarinegar and The 10 Things To Do in St. Louis

What an exhausting two days. I arrived in St. Louis yesterday morning and haven't had a chance to come online until now. For this city I had a plan. I had made a list of 10 things to do here, and tried to follow it through. Here are the results:

Gateway Arch. This is the tallest man made monument in the nation. I couldn't afford to miss it. I took the south tram to the observation deck to see the magnificent view that it really is. Did you know that you can see up to 30 miles from there? Luckily I am not afraid of heights.

Forest Park. This amazing park was built in 1876 and is one of the biggest parks opened in the 19th century. Did you know that it is twice as big as Central Park in NYC? I also visited the St. Louis Art Museum.

Missouri Botanical Garden. This really is a jewel. A whole history of plants is displayed on 79 acres of land. I was pretty tired when I finished the walk in these gardens.

The Magic House. I know it's a children's museum. But I wanted to have some fun and I had heard so many good words about this museum. And it was a lot of fun even for me, all grown up Sean Zarinegar. I got to touch an electrical ball that made my hair rise up; and make a 3D picture of myself.

Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis. The largest mosaic art collection of the world is located here. I didn't visit the mosaic museum though as I arrived too late and it was already closed.

Casinos. I like to play a game of poker every now and then. Thus, visiting casinos was also on my list. I chose the closest one to my hotel – The President. Lost around $30 but it kept me busy for three hours.

Museum of Transportation. This cool museum features over 300 pieces of diesel, steam and electric cars, buses and aircrafts. I spend too much time there.

Laumeier Sculpture Park. I took a walk there before lunch and it really is beautiful with more than 80 contemporary sculptures.

St. Louis Zoo. More than 700 species from all continents live in this small zoo. I only went there to see the tiger and because it is free.

Gateway Arch Riverboats. The last thing on my list was to take a short cruise on board Tom Sawyer,  a paddle wheeler on the Mississippi river. What a nice way to end the day.

Boy oh boy am I tired now. It's just 8.30 and I'm already off to bed. Sean Zarinegar – out...
