Well folks, I have gone straight through till I reached Clarksville where I was left completely speechless at the site of this magnificent river. Clarksville is located right next to the Mississippi river and boy is it wonderful. Apparently I got here a couple of weeks late to watch the Eagle Days Weekend where tons of different Eagles stop by. Every year round about January 30th, bald eagles migrate from the Great Lakes and central Canada to this specific spot. You can just imagine how Sean Zarinegar must feel by missing such a great event, but nonetheless I am still overwhelmed with all the beautiful sceneries around and there are other things to do as well.
One thing I could do was go to this neat little lookout spot over the river to see many different riverboats pass by. Sky lift Hill gives you about an 800 square mile view which makes you realize just how big and vast this river really is, and how small we people are in comparison. I also managed to find the Clarksville Museum, which has a ton of interesting things to look at such as the life on the Mississippi River: steamboats and some interesting historical information on floods that happened to the area. Truly fascinating stuff! The best of it all is that it is completely free, and packed with all the historical goodies you can imagine. Although I was very tired at night I decided to go taste some good wines at the Crown Valley Port House, which has both indoor and outdoor seating and a gigantic collection of fine wines to taste. As you might imagine, the wine mixed with my overall tiredness from the long day and sent me to sleep like a baby, just what I need to go onto my next location…Nashville! For now I will sleep because tomorrow Sean Zarinegar will be hitting the road again.
