Well folks my travels have brought me to Wiltshire, which is one amazing place. I decided to check in and head over to Stonehenge to see what all the fuss is about. Sean Zarinegar must set his feet on the grounds of such a mysterious and wonderful sight, it is most probably known all over the years. This circle of rocks was built between 3000BC-1600BC and was constructed in three phases. It is said that over 30 million hours of construction time went into building one of Britain’s most important prehistoric monuments. It was said that the Bluestones and Sarsen stones were carried hundreds of miles to this specific site. Nobody really knows why these stones were erected here, some say it was to worship the sun while others think it was more for ritual sacrifices, the point is that it is here still and is a truly amazing sight to see. Although tourists cannot walk in between the stones but are forced to watch it from a surrounding fence, it still takes ones breath away.
I must tell you folks that Sean Zarinegar could feel the history radiate from this sight, I strongly recommend it for anyone who is planning on visiting England.
This was my first stop here in Wiltshire, but I have a few other spots that I need to see before I finally decide to move along to a new spot. For now since I just basically checked in and went to Stonehenge, I will return back to my hotel room and get a meal to eat. Tomorrow there will be still a lot to cover in this remarkable place.
For now this is Sean Zarinegar, completely dazed with the beauties of ancient ruins and sites. Till tomorrow!
