I didn’t think I would find anything in Toledo, but it turns out that Sean Zarinegar can be mistaken at times. The first place I hit up was called the Wildwood Manor House which is a historic estate built in the 1930’s. This place has an 18th century Gregorian Architecture with 50 rooms and sixteen fireplaces. I mean imagine how it must have been living in this Manor when it was first built. Impressive stuff Toledo!
I also decided to take it a bit easier in Toledo, since throughout my traveling experience I have been like a jackrabbit running from a pack of dogs. So I ventured to the Walbridge Park and took a nice stroll there for a while. I think this was a good idea because tomorrow I will head out to Gary and then make a slight detour to Chicago. So besides the stroll in the Park I also went to Wildwood Preserve Metro Park that has one of the best tall grass prairies in Ohio. Besides the lovely boardwalk it has, it definitely is something to see when you are in Toledo.
Like I said, I was delightfully surprised at what Toledo has to offer, and now as I am preparing once more to go to my next destination I can start feeling the end of my road trip coming along. I know it is still a couple more stops on the way, but I think that this experience has changed my life completely. I would strongly advise everybody to try it one time. But for now it is Sean Zarinegar signing off, tomorrow I will get to Gary.
