Sean Zarinegar in Richmond

I got out of Fayetteville pretty early, I think even before the roosters got up, and I skipped breakfast and headed straight for Richmond. Missing the forest I decided to go to the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden to take up some nature. This is said to be one of the most visited attractions in Richmond due to the fact that they have weddings and business meetings here as well. So people from all over the world can enjoy this wonderfully designed botanical garden. This was really a beautiful site to see, there are no other words to describe it.

I also went to the Children’s Museum to see what they have to offer. This place is brilliant because it really is a hands-on experience for children and adults. Sean Zarinegar was as entertained as a nine year old and would have stayed there till the place closed, but still had to do some more sightseeing. I then decided to bounce over to the Holocaust Museum. Obviously this is an extreme jump from museum types, but let me tell you folks, it was amazing. A Holocaust survivor who settled in Richmond after WII placed this museum to give people a greater insight of what happened during those dark times.

After that I just had to go to the Edgar Allan Poe Museum. I mean this guy was a legend; he was the man who invented psychological horror stories. Sean Zarinegar must visit this place, and boy did I learn a lot. They have illustrations and writings of this famous poet all over the place. This was one of the best museums I have seen in a long time, and I’ve seen a lot. After that I walked around a bit in Carytown where I did some souvenir shopping and went to find a place to sleep for the night. Tomorrow I’m going to hit DC and I want to be in tiptop shape to absorb everything from the capitol. I’m almost to New York folks, it’s been an amazing journey so far, and I’m sure there still is a whole lot for me to discover. For now, off to searching for a hotel.
