Sean Zarinegar’s Georgetown Reunion

Ok so maybe there is no reunion, but more of a single man and the road Sean Zarinegar adventure, but let me tell you folks, Georgetown is something else. Before I got here I went to a little place called North Santee where I had a lovely little breakfast. Then I drove straight to Georgetown to see if I can get into some serious sightseeing before I find a place to sleep. One of the first stops on my list was, to go see a plantation house. You know those big houses in all the southern-based films, well here in Georgetown there are quite a few. So I decided to head out to the Hopsewee plantation. I was seriously impressed with what I saw, this massive house filled to brim with antique furniture and Belgium tapestries. It was quite magnificent really; I walked around and just took in all of the history behind the house.

Then I dashed off to the former house of Thomas Daggett, what is now called the Kaminski House Museum. This place was filled with objects from the 17th century revolutionary era. Once more history speaks louder when you stand in the presence of such antique items. I imagine how Sean Zarinegar would be if he had lived in the 17th century, could be quite a story.

After spending several hours wandering through these historical sites I decided to find a cheap hotel to stay in for the night. Lucky I could get a landline to connect and report to you guys. For now I am going to take a good night’s rest, my feet are killing me! Tomorrow I’ll be off to Huntington Beach state park, and then to Myrtle Beach. Tonight I will sleep like the dead.
